A The color is Liquid Gold and the nose like an orchard of orange blossoms and a touch of sweet Bortrytis. Gorgeous, silky and harmonious. The aromas and flavors of honey and orange enrobe the palate in perfect harmony. Elegant and vibrant, it carries its sweetness with poise. Long languid finish with elegant complexity. Recommended for white meets, foie gras and cheese like gorgonzola, roquefort, stilton on 10-12 ˙C.

Situated in the heart of the legendary Tokaj vineyard in Hungary, Central Europe, Chateau Dereszla owned by the French family d’Aulan. The estate is run by an enthusiastic team with a long established expertise sharing the same philosophy for wine: perfection, conviviality and pleasure. With a surface area covering fifty hectares, the vineyard has a rich diversity of terroirs at the centre of theTokaj classified great growths area. The more than one kilometre very beautiful and historical cellars system have been dug out of the rock and the wines can therefore develop in the traditional way with ideal temperature and hygrometric conditions. The technical installations are very up to date, meaning we can get the best out of the crop whilst respecting ancestral wine-making methods. Chateau Dereszla wines are exported more than 30 countries all over the world, our high quality wines are available from Europe (most important markets France, Russia, Germany and Italy), through USA to South-Korea and Japan.

Used as a diplomatic weapon when in 1703, Ferenc Rákóczi II, Prince of Transylvania, in conflict with the Hapsburgs, offered some wine from his estate as a gift to Louis XIV. The Sun King adopted the Tokaji-Aszú at Versailles under the name of « Tokay » and qualified it as « Wine of Kings and King of Wines ». The extremely rare Esszencia was then attributed with medicinal virtues, it was available in the pharmacies as a medicine « Vinum Tokajense Passum ». In 1866, André Jullien classified the vineyards of the world in a reference work entitled : «Topography of all known vineyards». He stated : « Tokay, regarded with justification as the greatest sweet wine in the world.» Its vinification method has been codified since 1630 and the classification of growths dates from 1772. Tokaji is the oldest sweet botrytised wine in the world, more than a century before the wines of the Rhine and two centuries before Sauternes. Tokaji Aszú is symbol of the liquid diamond, and has great glory at the royal courts in Europe in the XVIIIth century. Tokaji Aszú is „The humanity’s sweet dew”, „The angels’ tear” „The clear and beautiful liquid of God”, „Sunlight closed into bottle”. Writer and philosopher in the age of french enlightenment, Voltaire, german poet and writer, Johann Wofgang von Goethe, or world-famous austrian composer, F.P. Schubert were all of them the fanatic lover of Tokaji. The inexhaustible magic of Tokaji is evident.

The exceptional vineyard is located in the northernmost part of eastern Hungary. The TOKAJI appellation covers 5500 Hectares around the little village of Tokaj situated near the Ukrainian and Slovakian borders. The best vines are situated at an altitude of between 150 and 250 metres, on the south-facing hillsides. The Bodrog and Tisza rivers moderate the fiery summers of this continental climate. The remarkably mild autumns favour the formation of morning fogs which are necessary for the development of noble rot (botrytis cinerea). In the north, the vineyard is protected by the Carpathians and the Zemplen mountains. In the south, the winds from the great Hungarian plain have warm air currents which favour the natural raisining of the botrytised grapes. The soil is a real geological patchwork, made up of eruptive rocks and sedimentary soils. The loess facilitates drainage and the maturing of the grapes, giving rich and aromatic wines, the tuff gives refinement whilst the growths from the clay soils are more acidic and have great longevity. The Tokaji Appelation was classified into the World Cultural Heritage by United Nations Cultural Organisation in June 2002. This proves the speciality of Tokaj among thousands of other appellations worldwide, the one and only.

奥苏选用的葡萄主要是:(Furmint) 福乐名、(Hárslevelu)哈乐士莱维露、 (Muscat)麝香葡萄等品种。
奥苏葡萄经过逐一筛选后,把品质优良的葡萄放入木筐里,每筐25公斤。同一年的136升发酵的葡萄或白葡萄酒中放入装有几乎完全干涸的奥苏木筐浸泡,放入的木筐越多葡萄酒的味道就会越甜,品级自然越高。

Just as much as its unique vinification method - managed and controlled by our winemaker Bai Edit with her individual style and philosophy - and the originality of its grape varieties, it is the marvellous harmony between the complexity of the soil and the exceptional climate which creates the excellence in Tokaj wines. Tokaji-Aszú is made with Aszú grapes. These grapes which have been affected by botrytis cinerea, and have been dessicated by the warm winds. Aszú is a Hungarian term which can be translated by the term «crystallized». The Aszú grape can come from Furmint, Hárslevel? and Muscat grape varieties. The Aszú grapes are sorted by hand, one by one and their weight is measured by using wooden hods (Puttonyos) of approximately 25 Kg. The Aszú grapes which are nearly dry, are macerated in 136 litres of must or in a wine of the year. According to the harvest, the higher the number of Aszú grape Puttonyos there are, the sweeter the wine will be.

Tokaji Aszú wines owing to their diversity and their exceptional freshness, they were a marvellous accompaniment to a very wide range of dishes and also to numerous moments of friendship and meditation. It is the natural companion to a visit or a refreshing and convivial conversation. Generally recommended for light white meats, foie gras, blue cheeses, or as a dessert by itself on 10-12 C.
